The Association of South Central Oklahoma Governments (ASCOG), in cooperation with Fort Sill, Comanche and Kiowa Counties, the cities of Apache, Cache, Elgin, and Frederick, and the towns of Indiahoma, Medicine Park, and Sterling, and other agencies and organizations in the region, are preparing a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) to address land use planning around Fort Sill. The primary objective of the JLUS is to reduce current and potential conflicts between Fort Sill and surrounding jurisdictions whileaccommodating new growth and economic development, sustaining economic vitality, protecting public health and safety, and sustaining the operational missions of Fort Sill.
Please join us at this final public workshop to provide input on the compatibility issues, learn about the findings and assessment, and discuss potential strategies. Information about the draft document will be presented with information on where the public can review a copy and provide comments.
